In Moldova, one of Europe's poorest countries, life is especially hard for the estimated 300,000 people with disabilities and for their carers, who receive little or no support from the state.
The Moldova Charity Mission is a registered Moldovan charity which supports disabled adults, children and their families. We provide for the welfare and education of over 500 people who are very poor and/or have disablities.
We run two Summer Camps each year, one for adults and one for children. We also run a Day Centre to support at least 50 children and their families as there are no special schools in Moldova.
The Charity Mission is a Christian, non profit and non political organisation. We believe in meeting people at their point of need and encouraging them to grow at their own pace. In all we do, we support people regardless of race, class, gender or denomination.
Thanks to the kindness of all those who have supported us, clothes, medicines, and food have been distributed and lives have been changed.
